Training Bakery Employees

When I started managing my own bakery, I assumed that the people I worked with would know when to turn off the fryer, help a customer, and fill a cake order. I figured that as long as workers attended Culinary School, they would inherently understand how to operate a bakery. I was wrong. I watched my team struggle to complete the most mundane tasks, and I decided that if I wanted to succeed, I was going to have to train my employees more effectively. I spent the next seven weeks going over the details of how I wanted everything done, and it was amazing how much of a difference it made.
